Google Maps QR code generator.

Customers scan and Google Maps opens on your business, with directions, opening hours and reviews a tap away. Paste your Maps share link, type an address, or drop a pin where you're standing.

What should the code open?
Dark colours on white scan best.

Your code appears here as you type.

Made in your browser: nothing you type is sent to Qrunto. The code holds its content itself, so it never expires.

How to get your Google Maps share link

  1. Open Google Maps on your phone or computer and search for your business.
  2. Tap or click Share, then Copy link. It looks like maps.app.goo.gl/…
  3. Paste it into the box above and download your code.

Not on Google Maps yet? Add your business with a free Google Business Profile, then come back for the share link. Until then, an address works.

How customers use it

  1. They point their phone camera at the code and tap the link that appears.
  2. The Google Maps app opens, on iPhone or Android. Without the app, Google Maps opens in their browser instead.
  3. They tap Directions, or save the place for later.

Ideas for small businesses

  • Flyers, leaflets and business cards: people keep them and find you later, without typing your address.
  • Hard-to-find entrances: a pin on the door, on a sign by the car park or the main road.
  • Market stalls and pop-ups: a pin on this week's spot. Make a new code when you move.
  • Events: a pin on the venue, or the car park, on posters and printed invitations.

Questions

Does the code expire?

No. The code holds the Google Maps link itself, and nothing passes through Qrunto. A share link is Google's own link to your listing, so it works for as long as your listing is on Google Maps.

What happens if we move?

If the code uses your share link, update the address on your Google Business Profile and the same printed code shows the new place. Codes made from an address or a pin need replacing.

Can it open Apple Maps instead?

The code opens Google Maps. iPhone users without the Google Maps app see Google Maps in their browser, where Directions still works.

Is my location sent anywhere?

No. "Use where I am now" asks your browser for your position and uses it only on this page to make the code. Nothing you type or share here is sent to Qrunto.

Why is the pin in the wrong place?

Phones are less accurate indoors. Step outside, or near a window, and press "Use where I am now" again, or type the address instead. Always scan the code yourself before printing.
