Free QR code generator that never expires.
Make a QR code for a website, your guest Wi-Fi, a WhatsApp chat or plain text. Download it as a PNG or SVG and print it anywhere. No account, no watermark, no trial that runs out.
Your code appears here as you type.
Made in your browser: nothing you type is sent to Qrunto. The code holds its content itself, so it never expires.
Why these codes never stop working
There are two kinds of QR code. A static code holds its content inside the pattern itself: the link, the Wi-Fi password or the message. Nothing sits in between, so no company can switch it off. Every code this page makes is static.
A dynamic (editable) code holds a short link that forwards to your real page, so you can change where it goes after printing. That's useful, but the short link belongs to whoever made the code. Some QR makers switch those links off when a free trial ends or you stop paying, after the codes are already printed on menus, flyers and packaging.
If you'll never need to change where the code goes, a static code from this page is all you need.
Static or editable: which do you need?
| Static (this page) | Editable (Qrunto app) | |

| Works forever | Yes, nothing in between | Yes, even if you cancel Pro |
| Change it after printing | No, make a new code | Yes, any time |
| See how many people scan | No | Yes, per code and per table |
| Link safety checks | No | Yes, every few days |
| Your logo in the middle | No | Yes |
How to print a QR code that scans first time
- Size: at least 2 cm (about 0.8 in) across for something held in the hand, like a table tent or a business card. A good rule is 1 cm of code for every 10 cm people stand away, so a poster read from 2 m needs a code about 20 cm wide.
- Contrast: a dark code on a white or very light background. Light codes, and codes on busy photos, fail on older phones.
- White border: keep the white margin around the code. The download already includes it, so don't crop it off.
- Test before you print a batch: scan the printed proof with an iPhone and an Android phone, from the distance your customers will.
- Use SVG for print shops: it stays sharp at any size. Use PNG for documents, social posts and email.
Questions
Is this QR code generator really free?
Yes. There's no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many codes you make. The codes are made in your browser, so we don't even see what you type.
Will my QR code expire?
No. These are static codes: the content is inside the code itself, so it works as long as the thing it points to exists. If you change your website address or Wi-Fi password, you'll need a new code.
Can I use these codes for my business?
Yes, for anything legal: menus, flyers, packaging, signs and business cards. There are no restrictions and nothing to credit.
Can I track how many people scan it?
Not with a static code, because scans never touch a server. If you want scan counts, use an editable code in the Qrunto app.
Editable codes for your menu, Wi-Fi and reviews.
Qrunto turns a photo of your menu into a live menu, prints table tents for free and lets you change any code after printing. Coming soon to iPhone and Android.
